Xelect will be the industrial sponsor of an exciting PhD studentship in the research group of Dr Dan Macqueen at the University of Aberdeen.
The BBSRC funded iCASE studentship will be focused on genomics of Atlantic salmon with a view to the aquaculture industry and will provide an opportunity to conduct cutting edge research into copy number variation (CNV), which is potentially of dramatic importance to the future of marker assisted selection in animal breeding.
The full advertisement for the studentship will be online soon
