Aaren Dannoch

As a Scientific Officer at Xelect for over three years, Aaren plays a key role in supporting advanced genetic workflows for aquaculture. Her primary responsibilities include NGS library preparation and sequencing, as well as panel optimisation and reoptimisation to ensure accurate and efficient genotyping.

Currently, Aaren is expanding her expertise in bioinformatics, aiming to accelerate data analysis and reduce turnaround times for the laboratory team. She also contributes to routine processes such as DNA extraction, triploid verification, and other essential genetic testing tasks across multiple species.

• Strong background in quality management, including SOP development and workflow optimisation for consistency and compliance
• Proven ability to uphold high professional standards, minimise errors, and deliver efficient results
