Ian is Xelect’s former CEO and co-founder. He is a world leading researcher in fish physiology and genetics and one of the most highly cited authors in aquaculture on Google Scholar.
He is particularly known for his research on muscle growth, adaptation to temperature
change and genome evolution.
Prior to founding Xelect, Ian was Director of the Scottish Oceans Institute, University
of St Andrews.
