CJ is a key member of Xelect’s Analytics and R&D team, specializing in genetic and breeding analyses that drive innovation in aquaculture. He earned his B.S. in Biotechnology and Mathematics from Indiana University and completed his PhD in Genetics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Following his doctorate, CJ conducted postdoctoral research in genetics and breeding at Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) and the Technical University of Munich, where he focused on advanced breeding strategies and genomic data analysis. His expertise spans quantitative genetics, bioinformatics, and statistical modeling, enabling him to develop cutting-edge tools and methodologies for selective breeding programmes.
At Xelect, CJ contributes to the design and implementation of genetic evaluation systems, ensuring clients achieve sustainable genetic progress through robust data-driven solutions.
